Chick flick....you should have..... Perky best friend Goofy guy friend Love interest that never works out Love interest that was always there and you missed Bullies Over bearing Mom Either sensitive Dad or Blundering Dad
Perky best friend. Who would that be? I don't know that I have a BEST friend (not a girl one, anyway... not that I hang out with much at all.) I think that confusedjew might fit the character (or at least make it a more interesting character), tho. So she can be that.
Goofy guy friend. Hmmmmmmm... my friend Dave might fit that, but he's not on LJ. I could adopt popfiend! popfiend, you wanna play the goofy guy friend?
Love interest that never works out. friendstephen fits that. He would be the "love interest that never works out but becomes my best friend." Sorry, I don't really have any bad guys. ;)
Overbearing Mom. Hm, yep, got that.
Definitely have the "sensitive Dad". He wasn't there when I was a kid and has lived in Wisconsin for the last thirteen years but now he's come back to Indy and is bound and determined to smother me. And I like it. ;)
You forgot that "sage advice person" that reminds you that you've only got one life to live and that "a love like this comes once in a lifetime" and says things like "but they can't help it. So rush." Want that role? ;)
Okay, now per_solo has to do something stupid to piss me off so that we can have a good plot conflict.
You'd think I'd know more archetypes, given how many chick flicks I've seen...I'm coming up empty.
Do something stupid to piss you off, for plot conflict? I could...(and, given how we all can do that, likely will), but I'm not sure that creates good plot. :-P
Just don't cast anyone to talk "street", ok? (though, that brings images of Barbara Billingsley in Airplane, speaking Jive)
