It's cheap as hell, and as you know my finances are a bit shyte at the moment... but I hate the store. Hate it beyond all reason. Once upon a time Wal-Mart had at least a *few* standards... but they've all gone to hell in a handbasket in the past ten years or so. The cashiers are rude, but I would imagine that that might have something to do with them being paid peanuts and treated like shit.
Still, I have a tendency to go there for cheap clothing and such.
'Till now.

...yeah, I think I'll be haunting the Goodwill Outlet or just making my own damned clothes from now on.

Date: 2008-12-01 10:14 pm (UTC)BTW: That story made me nuts when I first read it. Sure, Walmart should have had better security, but I think everyone who shoved through that door should have been brought up on charges. WTF? Standing in line all night for a $10 stereo (or whatever) and then INJURING people to get it? I'm not willing to call people like that human.

Date: 2008-12-02 12:39 am (UTC)I've been shopping at the Giant Eagle chain (out of Pittsburgh). Granted, the prices are a bit higher. But no bugs. Plus fuel perks. ($.10 off per gallon when you buy $50 of groceries/gift cards)
