On "My Long-Ass Deconversion Story".  I realize that it's my blog and I don't HAVE to explain myself, but I wanted to.

That story was just that, a story.  It wasn't open for prostelytizing or criticism or accusations or petty insults.  It wasn't written as an argument, and it got treated like one.  

I DO still have all of the rest of the comments from the thread in question for anyone who was involved in it and might want to see them.  I left the comments that weren't a part of it.  I thank Stephen and Harley for your defense and Anon-troll and my brother Will for your points of view, correct or incorrect, whether I might disagree with them or not.

I thank everyone else who read and responded (and those who DIDN'T respond) for your respect and consideration and I appreciate your involvement in my life via this blog (again, whether you respond or not.)  

For anyone who might have a problem with me deleting discussions you are welcome to your opinion, but I will warn you that my most likely response will be "tough cookies, it's my blog."

Sometimes, a story is just a story.  You can either appreciate it or not bother with it.

I liked reading it.

Gave me insight into you and where you've been and how you got here.

To me, that's a good thing.

And I didn't feel like you were trying to make me feel small because I believe.

So I was fine.

Maybe I'm just TOO easy going. :D

Good! I'm glad, because that's the way I meant for it to come across. One of the reasons I've waited to write it was because I didn't want it to come from a place of anger or accusation at Christianity or even Religion as a whole, or even AT those people that said and did hurtful things. I just, wanted to tell the story, because people were curious as to what I'd been through.

And I left a TON of details out, just because I didn't want it to be TERRIBLY long and take FOREVER to write. I don't know, I may write a book on the subject someday, but I dont' want it to be taken as a "stance against Christianity" or something inflammatory.

So, I hope you're not too easy going, because you took it in exactly the way I hoped that most people would. =)

And I'm doing great otherwise! The current job is awesome, the job coming up looks like it's going to be a good fit for the time being... all in all life is pretty good. How's you?

Awwww, awesome. =) Sorry 'bout the stress. per_solo just got over a particularly major stress over his school loans coming in, so I know how not-fun THAT can be. He's been in a real state.. but luckily they hit his account yesterday, so he's enjoying Gencon now. =)
